Nigel, played by Sal Bevivino, is an inexperienced documentarian with dreams of hosting his own show. His prayers are answered when the Nurturing Nature Network hosts a video contest where each participant must find something unique in nature to report on, edit, and mail in as their official entry. To gather top talent, he places a budget ad in the local paper for one day only.

Lou, played by Gene Diringer, finds odd jobs around town and just happens to read Nigel's newspaper ad found in a trash can. His #1 pastime is sitting on the front porch and staring. Lou loves to offer advice and tell stories while sipping his flask.

Mike, played by Thomas LeClair, graduated from a top film school but needs more on-the-job experience. He can hold a boom mic like no other but his patience wears thin when Bobby is around. He considers headphones a fashion accessory.

Bobby, played by Mike Patterson, enjoys offering to help on movie sets but then gets tired, sending text messages instead. He enjoys using the phrase, "That's it, I'm going home." Bobby will work for sandwiches.

Alex, played by Justin Sabo, is an undergrad film student in need of footage for his demo reel. Nigel is allowing use of the footage, provided Alex rents equipment, purchases tapes, stays behind the camera at all times, and edits the final cut of the movie.
